In today’s short-form instalment of Yeti Bits and Bobs, I discuss facing discouragement, setting realistic goals, and putting the past in her place – far behind us on a shelf that we shall never return.

Our transformational path is rarely as we predict.  Feeling discouraged is a natural part of the experience, especially if goals feel far out of reach.  It is critical that we set both attainable and realistic goals.

We often are taken in by triumphant headlines such as, “Couch Potato To Ultra-Marathoner.”  We forget that such stories are extraordinary in their own right, only meant to inspire, and not define our personal path.  After all, we have been feed the delusion that we can do and be anything…right?  Experience tells us something different.

Today I challenge the listener to accept that many ships have sailed, and that once we accept the parameters given to us in life, health informed goals become grounded in attainable reality.  I also share my own, “Get off your ass and move,” challenge – accomplishing the Power-Walk Commute to work.  Listen to the episode for more details.  Join the challenge!
