img_3174Today’s show is a follow-up to our previous episode, Part I – The CHANGES Model.  We discuss using the CHANGES Model to guide you through the first steps in weight loss, providing you tools as you start this both challenging and life altering journey.

Needless to say, few podcasts recorded this week have escaped the urge to comment on the elections in the United States held on Tuesday.  Even I found it impossible to resist.  After describing my view of the problem, I offer an approach for handling the next four years of regression.

Diving into today’s topic, I review the elements of the CHANGES Model, and provide a step-by-step guide to get you up and moving:

Losing weight is easy.  Keeping off successful weight loss is near impossible without an effective lifestyle transformation plan.  If you are able to set effective long-term and short-term goals, and focus on the CHANGES element that is most appealing to you, there is no doubt that you are heading the proper direction.  However, you will find the journey both lonely and difficult if you attempt it on your own.  Your ability to elicit social support is the best predictor of a positive outcome.
