“Hoka Bondi 4W – Running with marshmallows On Your Feet!”

Pug and Cat and Running Shoes

Toe Box Hell!

Twelve months ago, I bought a pair of the Hoka One One Bondi 4 road running shoes.  I trained in them during long running sessions and used them when I ran the BMO Vancouver Marathon, 2016 this past May.

I absolutely love Hoka running shoes but struggle with one, very significant, agonizing problem, the terribly narrow toe box seen in the 2015 lineup.  In fact, after my first 42.2k race in May, I lost a nail.  Pounding swollen feet for more than five hours is guaranteed to result in some physiologic calamity.  The narrow toe box didn’t help – Ouch and gross!

The Latest Edition

Two weeks ago I finally got my hands on the Bondi 4 update, the Bondi 4 “Wide”.  Can I just say, “OMG amazing!”  I am no longer preoccupied toe pain and blisters.  The wide version is simply bliss.  If you could run on marshmallows, this is what that would feel like!

  • I’ve been looking to try another running shoe. I’ve worn Asics for years and they have always been great! But, I’ll definitely look into the Hoka One One Bondi. Thank you!

  • Awesome!! I would also check out the Hoka Clifton 3 shoes. Great shoe for shorter distances.

  • Thank you! I’ll check them out.
