“Garmin is feature rich and provides extremely detailed metrics.”

Time For Change

Sometimes when things are just not working out, it is time to say goodbye.  Move over Polar V800, you have been officially replaced by the Garmin Fenix 3 HR 🙂

After using the V800 for more than a year, it was time to search for a reliable wearable that provided extensive metrics for my runs.  The V800 is sleek and looks sexy on my wrist.  However, it appears that the company has abandoned hardware and software updates to focus on more entry level consumer products.  This is particularly frustrating after making such a significant investment.

I am not one to wait around – after extensive research, I decided to shift hardware and ecosystems, a risky move, but one that has proven to be the best tech decision I have made to date.

My Video Review

In the following video, I give a quick rundown of my experience with the Garmin Fenix 3 HR.  I used it for my first marathon just over a month ago, and it did not disappoint.  When paired with the new HR Run chest strap, you get an overwhelming amount of data about your running performance, handing if you want to improve your form and efficiency.  I will cover some of these metrics in future articles.

For now, enjoy!  Don’t forget to Subscribe to my YouTube Channel!!! 🙂
