“Every runner is different – Today I experiment with dates for mid-run nutrition.”
In response to my post yesterday on long slow distance (LSD) running and nutrition, I wanted to create a video that expands on my own strategies.
Following is a video about my experience taking medjool dates on my 21.1k training run today. Dates are full of nutrients. In particular, they are packed with an array of B-Vitamins, a nutrient that cannot be left out of your diet, especially if you are a vegan athlete.
I have tested out all kinds of nutrition options for long run days. You have to find a food that will not make your stomach upset. Every runner has to experiment before they find what works best for them.
